SCT Experiential Program(Kumanogawa)

Purpose of Experience

Until now information has flowed from the urban centers to the rural areas and people began to leave the rural areas for the cities. The result has been the aging and depopulation of rural areas and a general abandonment of rural life which is becoming a serious problem. It is important to learn the importance of rural areas in our life and experience this in practical application. Sustainable Community Tourism is an important factor that can facilitate such learning and experiences that will hopefully change the pattern of rural abandonment. The applications of SCT should be applicable regardless of local or national differences or the diverse environments that we live in.

These little buildings used no nails and could be assembled or taken down in about an hour.
